1. Research Use Only
All products offered by PEPTIGEN are supplied strictly and exclusively for legitimate scientific research and laboratory use. By placing an order you confirm that:
• You are a qualified researcher, laboratory professional, or institution purchasing solely for in-vitro research, analytical, or other lawful scientific purposes.
• The products will not be used for human or animal consumption, ingestion, injection, administration, therapeutic, diagnostic, cosmetic, or any other non-research purpose.
• You understand that the products are research chemicals and have not been evaluated, approved, or registered by the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA), the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), or any other regulatory authority for human or animal use.
• You accept full responsibility for ensuring that your purchase, possession, storage, handling, and use of the products comply with all applicable South African and international laws and regulations.
PEPTIGEN products are not medicines, medical devices, dietary supplements, or cosmetics. No claims are made regarding safety, efficacy, or suitability for any purpose other than controlled laboratory research.
PEPTIGEN reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any order that appears inconsistent with genuine research use.
2. Regulatory Compliance
PEPTIGEN products have not been evaluated or approved by the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA), the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), or any other regulatory body for use in humans or animals. These products are sold strictly as research chemicals for laboratory use.
It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to ensure compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations regarding the purchase, possession, and use of research chemicals.
3. Age Requirement
You must be 18 years of age or older to purchase from PEPTIGEN. By placing an order, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
4. Orders & Payment
PEPTIGEN accepts payment via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Orders will only be processed and dispatched once payment has been received and confirmed. Please use your order number as the payment reference to ensure prompt processing.
PEPTIGEN reserves the right to cancel any order at its discretion, including orders that appear to be placed for non-research purposes.
5. Shipping & Delivery
We ship nationwide across South Africa. Standard Economy shipping (2–5 business days) is charged at R130. Orders over R2,500 qualify for free delivery. Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on your location and courier availability.
6. Returns & Refunds
Due to the nature of research chemicals, returns are only accepted in the event of a product defect or incorrect item being dispatched. Please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your order if you believe there is an issue. We will work with you to resolve the matter.
7. Limitation of Liability and Indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law:
• PEPTIGEN, its owners, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunity, or personal injury) arising from the purchase, possession, handling, misuse, or use of any product, whether or not such use was authorised.
• PEPTIGEN’s total aggregate liability in respect of any claim relating to a product or order shall not exceed the amount actually paid by you for that specific order.
• All products are supplied “as is” and without any warranty, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, purity, identity, or non-infringement.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PEPTIGEN and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:
• Your use or misuse of any product;
• Your failure to comply with these Terms or applicable laws;
• Any claim that the products were used for human or animal administration or any non-research purpose.
This indemnity survives the termination of these Terms and any completed purchase.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the PEPTIGEN website, including product descriptions, images, and branding, is the property of PEPTIGEN and may not be reproduced without written permission.
9. Privacy
PEPTIGEN collects only the personal information necessary to process your order and provide customer support. We do not sell or share your information with third parties except as required to fulfil your order (e.g., courier services). For more information, please see our Privacy Policy.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the website or products shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
